Peppered Maple Bacon Knots

Bacon knots are hands down the prettiest way to present bacon. Just a simple tie and then seasoned with pepper and maple syrup and we have a winner!

Peppered Maple Bacon Knots

Ingredients

  • 1 pound maple smoked bacon
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • coarse freshly cracked black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Cut the bacon strips in half and tie each half in a loose knot. Place on baking sheet.
  2. Combine the maple syrup and brown sugar in a bowl. Brush each knot generously with this mixture and sprinkle generously with freshly cracked black pepper.
  3. Pre-heat the air fryer to 390ºF.
  4. Air-fry the bacon knots in batches Place one layer of knots in the air fryer basket and air-fry for 5 minutes. Turn the bacon knots over and air-fry for an additional 2 minutes. (Cook an additional 1-2 minutes if using thick cut bacon.)
  5. Serve warm.

    1. Hi Elli. The cooking chart should work for air fryer ovens too. the difference is that you don’t have to shake the basket as much.

  1. These bacon knots were delicious! I will use a better quality bacon next time because they were too thin but that was the bacon not the sauce. I love all of the air fryer recipes from the blue jean chef.
