When I was working at the Center for Culinary Development, we all had our own way of making a tuna salad sandwich. My favorite tuna salad sandwich always included pickles.

I’ve never tried radishes in my tuna! Or the capers! I will add some when I make mine today! Mary

  2. I add onions, dill pickle relish, chopped peperocinis, green olives, a little mayo, squirt of mustard to my tuna salad mix.

I’ll try adding radishes next time. For my tuna salad, I use tuna packed in olive oil (drained) and I also add about 1/4 c (drained) sauerkraut. Gives the taste a little zip. I also add a little chopped scallions (maybe 1 T.)

    1. The recipe does not call for red onions. You can add a couple tablespoons of chopped red onion if you like.

BJC, this is the best tuna salad recipe. So tasty and different! We made the recipe as shown but unfortunately we didn’t have radishes. I’m sure they would have given the tuna salad an extra layer of deliciousness. Next time. All around scrumptious recipe. Thanks!
