This lemon dill buttermilk dressing was originally created to cool the heat of Nashville Hot Chicken, but it's a lovely light dressing for greens as well.

Lemon-Dill Buttermilk Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
  • 1 lemon zest and juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine buttermilk, Greek yogurt (or sour cream), lemon zest and lemon juice in a bowl. Whisk together until smooth.

  2. Stir in fresh the chopped fresh dill and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

  3. Serve over greens or as a cooling sauce for spicy Nashville Hot Chicken.
