Ingredients
- 4 pounds side salmon
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 6 ounce prepared horseradish
- 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
- zest of two lemons
- juice of two lemons
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ½ cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 400 ̊F.
- Place the salmon, skin side down, on a greased baking sheet, or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Season the salmon with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Then spread the horseradish on the salmon, coating the entire surface.
Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Spread the mixture over the top of the salmon and press down lightly with your hands, adhering it to the salmon using the horseradish as “glue”. Transfer the salmon to the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the fish feels firm to the touch.
Cut into portions and serve warm or room temperature.

this dish is the best for ease of prep, taste and as you said, company worthy. simple and good what’s not to like
I’m making this for the 2nd time. I had not even tried salmon till a year ago (73 yo) out at a restaurant. This recipe is excellent. It has a little zip from the horseradish and a brightness from the lemon. And a tasty crunch on top. Love this! You won’t be dissapointed.
Hi Meredith: would love to try this in the Air Fryer. So what are your suggestions? Thank You!!
You can cook this in an air fryer at 350°F for about 12 to 17 minutes. Make sure you pat the crust to adhere to the salmon so it doesn’t fly off from the air fryer fan.
